BOOTER BILLIE had good speed from the start and, going to the front when ready in the back stretch, opened up a long lead and was never in danger, winning in hand. SWEET MYSTERY made a strong move on the outside after leaving the back stretch, but did not seriously threaten the winner. SEXTUS closed ground steadily and was going well at the finish. DIDUTELLUS tired badly in the stretch. FIGHT ON and SKY BINGO also tired. TWO SONS was in rather tight quarters entering the back stretch and never threatened. VALINA showed good speed in pacomaking, saved ground throughout and held on fairly well. DONNA BONITA raced evenly and always held third place safe. DISSENT closed Some ground. TEMPER was in close quarters soon after the start and was badly outrun to the stretch, then made up some ground. CLAUDE K. tired in the stretch. IDLE LAD, rated close up to the stretch, moved forward strongly when called upon to get to the front in the run home and won handily. ORILEY was outrun to the last quarter, then made a strong move on the outside, but faltered near the finish. INDEPENDANT WAY, never far from the pace, raced evenly and gamely to the end. SWEEPOUCH also raced fairly well to the Finish, showing early speed. KINGS FOLLY was in close quarters early, then loomed up dangerously on the outside on the stretchy turn, but Jtired in the run home. BLUE HOUR lacked speed and never threatened seriously. KENT, well rated close to the. pace in the early part, came strongly to wear down HIGH MARIA in the stretch and, getting to the front near the end, was slowly going away. HIGH MARIA dashed into a good lead early, but tired near the end. DROMBO closed ground in the stretch and was-going well at the end. QUICK CLOUD also finished gamely. HAPPY DINAH was unable to get to the front and was in rather close quarters on the far turn. CHIEF MENTEUR had no excuses and quit after looming up dangerously nearing the stretch turn.
