JACK O SPADES soon dashed to the front and, after setting the early pace under slight restraint drew out in the stretch and won easily. CALCULATOR was forced rather wide in the stretch, but came again , ,wc,11, BLAUFUSS saved ground in the stretch and was also going gamely at the end. FOUNTAIN GROVE had early speed and had no excuses. DON GUZMAN began rather slowly, was used up racine to second place and tired as if short. COMPANY also tired. Overweight Infinite Lady, 1 pound. HASTEN HENRY was outrun early, but came fast on the inside through the stretch to find an opening in the last sixteenth and held MASTER JEAN safe. The latter, probably best, was shuffled back at the start and was a trailer for half the distance, then came fast to be forced wide on the stretch turn but was gaining rapidly at the end. WATCH TIME dropped back after breaking well, but came again in the stretch to finish fast. IMMUNITY got through on the inside on the stretch turn to take a short lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. CAL-NEVA and GALPEN were used up in the early stages. LIBERTYS LOVE tired badly. LADYS SON was taken up when in close quarters in. the first eighth, then was taken to the outside and vas permitted to race to the middle of the track after leaving the back stretch, but, losing much ground, lost all chance. THE SHINGLER, saved in the early stages, came very fast on the outside through the stretch to wear down MUCH TROUBLE and won going away. MUCH TROUBLE, hustled to the front early, set most of the pace and saved ground in the run home. MULLET responded gamely to hard urging in the last half mile and was going well at the finish. RISOTTO was taken up when in close quarters going to the first turn and dropped back to last place, then made up some ground in the late stages. MERINA "was forced to take up when m close quarters nearing the far turn. MOONEYBROOK was bumped rounding the first turn SCENARIO had little chance with the ride. GAY JACKET, outrun early, was in close quarters while making a move on the far turn, but, under excellent riding, was maneuvered to the inside nearing the stretch turn to find an opening next to the rail and, getting to the front, drew out in the final eighth. LEE TORCH moved up steadily to catch GOLD DROP on the stretch turn, but raced wide in the run home. GATLIN loomed up dangerously on the stretch turn, but, although racing wide in the run home, tired near the end. TONAS lacked his usual early speed and made his move too late. WELL-TIMED was done after making a move rounding the far turn GOLD DROP and BURSTON MANOR were used up making the pace. KAY EM BEE tired. Overweight Gatlin, 1 pound. " NINTH RACE 1 1-16 MDLES.
