DOUG BRASHEAR, well up the first quarter, was forced back on the turn, moved up fast when taken to the outside and wore down LAST HOP inside the last sixteenth. The latter, well up from the beginning, . disposed of KATHERINE G. when called upon entering the stretch, but could not stall off the winner. DOLLY E., never far back and in close quarters going into the turn, finished strongly when clear. ALL LADY, outrun for a half mile, moved up gamely thereafter. SISTER POLLY, well up and in hand for three-eighths, held on fairly well thereafter under pressure. KATHERINE G. had good speed from the beginning, was put to adrive when challenged entering the stretch and held on well to the last eighth, then tired. MISS MONTE tired after a half mile. RUNMILTON held his position for three-quarters without need of strong pressure, shook off PISH TUSH entering the stretch when roused and then held BOBBRAX safe. BOBBRAX, well up from the start and in hand for three-quarters, saved ground and closed gamely. ENFIN, under good restraint for seven- eighths, was hard ridden thereafter and finished gamely. ALPENGLOW began to improve her position after five-eighths and closed resolutely. PISH TUSH had good speed from the beginning, was hard ridden the last three-eighths and tired in the final eighth. CHEROKEE RED had no excuses. SIR BLACKIE followed the pace under light restraint, was put to pressure entering the stretch and was gradually getting to the winner. ANN McGINTY, well up from the beginning, bore out entering the stretch and tired near the end. RAIL DOWN moved into a contending position after three-eighths and held on fairly well. PRINCE MAC failed to rally when called upon after three-eighths. DOUBLE SIX was outrun. PAPALINDA, on the outside throughout and always prominent, closed strongly under vigorous urging. CALANTA worked her way up gradually through the field and showed a good effort. TONY STEEL was in close quarters soon after the start and moved up rapidly when clear, but could not menace the leaders. MINNIE POT, hard hustled throughout, could not improve her position. GOOD OMEN displayed good speed from the start, was taken under light restraint when outrun by SADIE F., assumed the lead approaching the final quarter, but was unable to retain her advantage. PRUM, hard hustled throughout, was well up all of the way, then tired slightly in the late stages. BALKOS MAID began slowly and improved her position gradually. GOLDEN NUGGETT had no mishaps.
