The National Association of State Racing Commissioners, which will hold its sixth annual convention in Miami, January 10, 11 and 12, has announced several changes in the various state rosters. In Ohio, Harry J. Koehler replaces George H. Bleecker as commission chairman but the latter remains a member of the commission. In Massachusetts, George G. Moys succeeds James G. Moran. Carl O. Schmidt and Ira B. Foster are now members of West Virginia. Foster replaces Leslie Combs II. as secretary. The racing secretarys office at Hialeah Park was closed on Wednesday. It was on December 21, 1933 that "Little Joe" McLen-nans days as racing secretary and handi-capper were ended by death. "Little Joe" as he was popularly known to his thousands of friends, was succeeded by his son, Charles J. McLennan, who has so successfully carried on in his fathers footsteps. As has been the annual custom, the doors of the secretarys office were kept locked for the day by young McLennan in memory to "Little Joe." A consignment of horses, property of W. H. Gallagher, are bedded at Hialeah. They are in charge of J. L. Donovan. The stable consists of Knights Haven and Zaca, four-year-old colts; Billy Van Nuys, Mr. Buddy, Scotch High, Right Lady, and three yearlings. Gallagher has nominated the chestnut colt Forty Eight for the 0,000 added Flamingo Stakes on February 25. Word was received here that several carloads of horses coming from Charles Town, W. Va., are en route to Tropical Park.
