SILENT SHOT raced to the outside after being slow to settle in stride, improved his position steadily, reached a forward position on the turn out of the back stretch, then moved into a short lead and held on gamely, although tiring fast at the close. WINGED FLIGHT, slow to settle in stride, bettered his position swiftly in the last half mile. HARRYS DREAM, squeezed back leaving the back stretch, recovered and finished with good courage. He stumbled and lost his rider twenty yards after the finish. GALLOPING had good speed while setting the pace and held on courageously when the real test came. LADY GENIE was prominent until reaching the stretch, then tired. GOLDFIN could not menace. BOLD GENERAL was outrun. BE BIG was never a threat. SAIDONA had no excuses.
