U. S. INDICTS AMERICAN j MEDICAUSSOCIATIONJ WASHINGTON, D. C, Dec. 20. The American Medical Association, five well-known Chicago doctors, three community societies and sixteen other individuals were indicted by a federal grand jury today on charges of violating the anti-trust laws. The accused are charged with conspiring to wreck a group health organization. The Chicago physicians named were: Dr. Morris Fishbein, editor of the A. M. A. Journal and leading spokesman for the association; Dr. Olin West, secretary of the A. M. A.; Dr. William Dick Cutter, secretary of the associations Council on Medical Education and Hospitals; Dr. Roscoe Genung Leland, director of the Bureau of Medical Economics, and Dr. Wm. Creighton Woodward, director of the Bureau of Legal Medicine and Legislation. The local medical organizations named were the Medical Society of the District of Columbia, the Harris County Texas Medical Society and the Washington, D. C. Academy of Surgery. All the other individuals accused are residents of this city. : 4
