WINN RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT American Turf Association Holds Its Annual Election of Officers. William F. Wiley, Cincinnati Publisher, and Samuel A. Culbertson, Added to Board of Directors. The American Turf Association, which operates the Churchill Downs and Latonia tracks in Kentucky and the local Lincoln Fields course, today re-installed Col. Mat. J. Winn- as president, a position the popular Kentuckian has held since the association was formed in 1928. Colonel Winn, the other officers and a board of directors were elected at the annual meeting of the American Turf Association held at the Congress Hotel here this afternoon. Stuyvesant Pea-body, of Chicago, was re-elected vice-presi dent and the board again selected Maurice L. Galvin, of Covington, Ky., to serve as sec retary and treasurer. William F. Wiley, of Cincinnati, and Samuel A. Culbertson, of Louisville, were added to the board of directors. Mr. Wilqy is the publisher of the Cincinnati Enquirer and foi many years has taken more than a casual interest in racing. Mr. Culbertson is a capitalist and for some years has been connected with Churchill Downs. The other directors, besides the officers, are Johnson N. Camden, Henning Chambers, Edward J. Fleming, Bruce A. Campbell, Arthur B. Hancock, Chas. W. Bidwill, Henry O. Gray, Bruce Head,. Edward J. Hughes, Lawrence Jones, Frazier Lebus, Donald McDonald, Jr., and Samuel H. Stone. Those plans are too far "advanced to be altered and Lincoln Fields therefore will operate twenty-seven days starting on Thursday, May 25. Our, program of stakes and purses, soon to be publicly announced, should attract a fine class of horses and with a fair break in weather we can present attractive programs daily."
