BRIGHT AND EARLY outclassed the others and, opening up a long lead in the first eighth, was steadied along while saving ground and held sway without being extended, MOSS GAL, lacking, early speed, was badly outpaced for half a mile, then closed fast in the stretch. BALKOS MAID was close up early and continued gamely in the drive. JUST HIGH showed good speed and held on well. HIGH TREASON could not reach the leaders In the first half mile, then tired. DUNDRUM was outrun. CHISPA was outrun all the way. CHOICE GOODS trailed all the wav. PEKAKI, in the thick of contention while being handled strongly, wore down the leaders and, taking com- mand in the last eighth, withstood a tedious drive willingly and barely lasted long enough. HONEYMAID withstood challenges from PRUDENT MISS and fought it out stubbornly in the drive. DONGY, lacking early speed, moved up fast on the outside and finished fastest of all. WISE ATTORNEY raced close up early and finished resolutely. PREDESTINED, sluggish in the early racing, came strongly in the final drive. IVY X. closed a gap from .a slow start. WHAT FUN raced forwardly under strong urging, moved up gamely near the stretch, but did not menace the winner. NUTTY, closest to the winner early, continued gamely and was best of the others. TOTACHE was outrun for three-eighths and could not get into contention in the drive. BAF CEE raced evenly. SNUGGLE showed early speed, but failed to keep up. BAND O SILVER lost ground all the way. LADY WO, close up early, but caught in close quarters leaving the back stretch, swung to the inside of the leaders and, moving up in the stretch, took command in the final sixteenth and outlasted CHICHARRA. The latter, rated forwardly, went up on the outside to engage the pacemaker, then fought it out gamely with the winner. DOMANIO showed good speed while making the pace, bore out slightly on the stretch turn, then tired in the final sixteenth. FAST WORK, breaking slowly and lacking early speed, closed a gap in the stretch. MAEWHISK tired after going half a mile. CHEROLIZE had no speed at any stage. Scratched 72306Miss Whim. SUN INPLAY was lightly punished going to the first turn to get jnto the lead and, rated along well after getting settled on the back stretch, shook off BUTTERMILK in the first three-quarters, saved ground and was intermittently punished to hold CO-SPORT. The latter, rated close up on the outside, moved up strongly on the last turn, engaged the winner and held on strongly. NO SIR was cased back off the pace and, kept within striking distance, finished well. BOBS BOYS was taken to the outside on the back stretch, went strongly, but was not good enough.
