O., saved close up for three-quarters, raced through an opening on the inside of ENGLISH HARRY after leaving the back stretch and. hugging the rail to save ground in the run home, headed BON FLY nearing the end and held her safe in a drive. BON FLY was permitted to drop too far back of the leaders in the early part and raced wide while making her move, but got to the front an eighth out and continued well after being headed by the winner. BON AMOUR was also allowed to drop too far back in the early part and closed with a belated rush. BROAD WINK made a strong move on the far turn but was forced wide by ENGLISH HARRY and tired in the stretch run. ROYAL REIGH and ENGLISH HARRY were used up setting the pace and tired. DON GUZMAN, close to the pace from the start, came strongly on the outside after leaving the back stretch and, getting to the front in the run home, went gamely to the end to win handily. GOLD TROPHY raced through an opening early to force a good pace and, saving ground in the stretch went gamely to the end. DELINE BANK, forced to race wide early, found an opening in the stretch and closed fast. FLYSTAR had good early speed and held on well but was in close quarters in the final strides. GROG was close enough early but was in close quarters entering the stretch and tired. STAND IN pulled up lame. Overweight Leightonwood, 3 pounds. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. COMMENDABLE went to the front early and, increasing his advantage, continued gamely on the inside when challenged by CROSS SIGN and held the latter to a dead heat in a drive. CROSS SIGN, closest to the winner in the early stages, overtook him an eighth out and went gamely to the end. TOWNSMAN did not seriously menace the first two, but Finished far in front of the others. ALASKAN was forced to take up on the stretch turn when making his move next to the rail. PAPENIE raced wide in the stretch. GIPSY MINSTREL was slow to begin.
