TO REVISE RHODE ISLAND 1 RACING RULES j -- PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 3. Louis C. -Gerry, Rhode Islands new administrator of ; racing, tackled the serious business of revising the rules which have governed racing in this state for the past several years. Mr. Gerry plans a thorough study of the rules as laid down by his predecessor. Out of this study will undoubtedly come changes "in some of the arbitrary regulations that irked last season. The new administrator intends to formulate a simplified code of rules, written so that they can be understood and workable to the satisfaction of both horsemen and the public. The revised regulations will be ready in plenty of time to govern the Gansett spring meeting, which opens April 22. As in former years, The Daily Racing Form will be the official publication from which records will be used to determine allowances made and claimed.
