DIZZY DEAN TO PITCH ON MONTY STRATT0N DAY When the Chicago Cubs and White Sox play next Monday in the Monty Stratton Benefit Game, Dizzy Dean will be the starting pitcher for the National Leaguers. So said Manager Gabby Hartnett, adding that he thought the loquacious right-hander was about ready for duty. "J figure that Dizzys appearance will help the game," Hartnett said, "and I think it is important that we draw as many as possible to that game. More than that, however, it will give me a chance to start "Diz" working toward real pitching shape. It wont be long after Monday until youll see Dean pitching for us in the National League race."
