USE BLINKERS ON HASH LEXINGTON, Ky., April 25. John M. Gaver, trainer of Mrs. Helen Hay Whitneys Greentree Stable, equipped Hash with blinkers at Keeneland Park this morning and tested the colts speed for a half mile. As a final "blow out" for the Blue Grass Stakes, to be offered as the closing day feature on Thursday, the son of Questionnaire sped the four furlongs in :47. He reeled off the quarter in :23.. Trainer Gaver stated that the colt ran a couple times last year in blinkers, but was not so equipped in his winning race here. He also said that he would wait until after the running of the Blue Grass Stakes before deciding what his plans would be regarding the Kentucky Derby. The Greentree Stable has five Kentucky Derby candi- , dates, Hash, Roll and Toss, and Third Degree being in charge of trainer Gaver, and One by One and Equilibrium are in the New York division.
