YALE 0 NINE MOVES ALONG Advances Another Peg in Preparation for Engagement in Kentucky Derby on May 6. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 25! Yale o Nine, Kentucky Derby candidate, advanced another notch in preparation for his engagement when he breezed a mile in 1:44 over a lightning-fast track this morning. Yale o Nine had Bobby Dotter up and, going along in rhythmic style, he reeled off the quarter in :25, half mile in :51 and six furlongs in 1:17. His final quarter in :25 was one of the best of the present training season. The Taggart three-year-old won six races last year, chief of which was the Joliet Stakes at Lincoln Fields. Later he was third to Beau James and Allegro in the Hyde Park Stakes at Arlington Park, and moving on to Narragansett Park, he finished second to Heather Time in the Old Colony Stakes. He was fourth to Time Alone, Sweet Nancy and T. M. Dorsett in the Eastern Shore, and in the Richard Johnson Stakes was fourth to Johnstown, Impound and Time Alone. Yale o Nine campaigned at Santa Anita but was unplaced in his two engagements, the last of which was the Santa Anita Derby.
