BE PREPARED was sent into command at the start and displayed high speed, was roused sharply inside the eighth post and drew away, then was under mild urging at the finish. BOUNCALONG was well up in the early running, responded in the stretch run and then finished well at the end. TONYPANDY, on the outside all the way, raced very wide rounding the turn, losing much ground, then finished fast. BABY BOOTIES showed a good effort all the way. BALLYHASTE bore out rounding the turn. GEORGES BREAK was well up from the start, responded when placed under pressure in the stretch, moved into command and drew away at the end. HE GOES was shuffled back going to the far turn, worked his way up steadily and finished with a rush. STING RAY was sent up fast on the outside rounding the far turn and had no mishaps thereafter. JACAROO made up some ground from a slow beginning. INDUCE had early speed and then quit badly at the end. NOLLIP was outrun from the start. BROWN LIGHT had a flash of eariy speed, then quit. SANDY BILL moved into command at once and displayed speed throughout, was roused sharply in the stretch run and responded, then drew away at the finish. BROAD TAIL was well up from the start and came to the outside of the leaders for the stretch run and finished fast to outlast MAEWHISK at the end. MAEWHISK, in nearest pursuit of the pace from the start, showed a good effort and held on well to the end. JACK FLY dropped back while on the inside rounding the far turn and failed to gain on the leaders at the finish. TICKMARA was well up and had no mishaps in the running. NOW WHAT was sent up fast between the leaders rounding the turn and, after assuming command, was sent over towatd the inside, was placed under severe pressure and outlasted US in the final drive. The latter was sent into command shortly after the start, slid slightly rounding the turn and then began to bear out and finished wide. FAIRY CHANT, on the outside of the leaders all the way. finished well under urging. PIQUET showed a flash of early speed and then faltered. SICKLE T. moved into command at the start, was rated along under steady restraint, raced WAR MAGIC into defeat and was roused sharply in the stretch run, but had speed in reserve at the finish. MAEDA moved up eamely when rounding the stretch turn and made a determined bid when settled in the stretch, but could not overhaul the winner. STRABO was close up from the start and had no mishaps. UNFAILING was outrun in the early stages, but made up ground through the stretch. WAR MAGIC had early speed, but bore out rounding the stretch turn. JINX BUSTER began slowly, but improved his position steadily and finished well. SAMA-KOV ran in spots, was sent to the outside for the final quarter mile and closed some ground. PLAY BY PLAY dropped back rounding the far turn, then came again at the finish. WATERSPLASH was well up all the way and had no mishaps. EVEN UP was closer up than usual in the early running, but faltered badly in the final eighth. GOOD VISIBILITY showed an even effort all the way. CHASE HIM had no mishaps in the running.
