CLEVELAND, Ohio, June 14.— H. G. Shoemakers consistent gelding Fritz Hallam i again raced to triumph here today, scoring j his second victory of the meeting when the r five-year-old gelding defeated McKelvey and £ Morans What a Pal and F. C. Barrows j Sheriff Eugene in the fourth race on the t program, a test of six furlongs engaging j eight sprinters. j A good-sized week-day crowd applauded the five-year-old chestnut racer as he won j over a slow track in the time of 1:15% for the six furlongs, the best recorded for the t distance during the early part of the card. The victory was quite popular with the spec- ± tators, as he ruled the choice in the betting, j paying 2 to 1. j. Fernandez starred, with three winners in » the first six races.
