MINT FLAVOR, hustled from the start and shaking off early challengers in the first three-eighths, assumed a safe lead approaching the final quarter and was never in danger thereafter. FRANCES LOU improved her position steadily while racing on the outside and closed strongly. EREBUS responded well to strong handling in the final quarter, moved up between horses when straishtened out and finished well. ALBERT BECK, taken back repeatedly, closed in game fashion. FRITZ W. made up some ground. COLONEL HORTON, on th* outside and close up for a half mile, tired thereafter. COME HOME quit badly after a half mile, showing a dull effort. OUR BESSIE, taken back off the pace and under snug restraint for a half mile, moved up rapidly thereafter on the outside, took command with a rush rounding the turn and drew away to win well in hand. WINGED VICTORY indulged DONNA BARONA with the lead, took command with a rush after three-eighths, but tired in the last quarter. ACUTE, hard hustled and used up to reach a contending position, faltered when urged hard the last quarter. KING MAURICE was weakly handled. MARTY tired. DONNA BARONA displayed brief early speed and dropped out of it after a half mile and was not persevered with in the final stages. Scratched— 75843 Spey Crest. 113; 74316 Voniadale, 108. BUSSE TRUMPET, restrained off the early pace, but never far out of it, was taken to the outside when roused nearing the final quarter, responded courageously to urging and wore down KENTUCKY JANE in the last eighth. KENTUCKY JANE displayed good speed from the start, disposed of HAPPY TIDINGS after a half mile, but could not withstand the winner. JURABOY improved his position gradually while racing on the inside and showed a good effort. HAPPY TIDINGS, hard hustled from the start, tired suddenly after straightening out in the stretch. WEST SEA began sluggishly, lost considerable ground at the first turn, improved his position steadily thereafter and finished stronglv. PARALDA, under snug restraint early, tired after reaching the final quarter. LAURA KIEV tired after being well up for three-quarters. CAPTAIN JEFFERS was always outrun.
