Miss Dogwood Wont Fill Engagement in Crete CRETE, 111., May 21. John M. Goode, veteran Kentucky horseman, arrived at Lincoln Fields with a stable of horses headed by the Kentucky Oaks winner, Miss Dogwood, owned by Brownell Combs, but he brought the disappointing news, that the filly is coughing slightly and will be unable to fill her engagement in the Crete Handicap here Saturday. Goode said that the fillys condition was not serious and that she may be seen in later Lincoln Fields features. Other horses Goode brought from Churchill Downs were Lucas B. Combs Blandina; Leslie Combs n.s Hometown, Devil Dancer and Mantilla; Leslie Combs II. and A. B. Gays lamin; Gays Woodford Lad; Neville Dunns Transformer; F A. Burtons Chanasia; and Mrs. A. B Karles K. Mixer and K. Sugar Roll.
