SUPER FOOT, vigorously handled to get through on the inside when assuming command, displayed, good ability in the footing, met strong challenges and held on tenaciously in the drive to just last. LINDEN GIRL, close up early, fell back slightly on the turn, rallied stoutly in the drive and, finishing in tight quarters on the inside, just missed. TIPPY, in the thick of contention from the start, gave way in the drive when her saddle slipped. MERRY LIEGE was stoutly handled and showed a smart effort. BRIGHT N HAPPY, away nicely, did not fancv the footing and fell back directly after the start. DOCTOR POSEY could not better" his position. ROYAL PETE was outrun throughout and raced greenly. Won ridden out; second and third driving. LER-LIN, favoring the footing, went to the front quickly, was rated nicely until reaching the stretch, then was placed to light punishment to withstand KISSIN KID. The latter was rushed strongly from the start, improved his position gamely and gained ground slowly in the drive. LENNANE made repeated bids to engage the winner in the first five-eighths, then tired. CHARMFUL went well placed, but could not get to the leaders. DURABLE was unable to improve his position. EXHORT was always outpaced. OAKALEACH would not extend herself. AUTOGO floundered in the footine: and was pulled up. CENTERVILLE, hustled into a contending position and steadied close up, secured racing room on the inside when moving "to the front, then, holding on stubbornly under punishment, outstayed IDA TIME. The latter, out in the better footing, went into a short lead when displacing BLUE PRELUDE after a half mile, then fought it out strongly when overhauled. STATE WITNESS raced in the first flight, saved-some ground in the late stages and outstayed TRYSAK. The latter, beginning tardily when caught between horses going to the first turn, closed gamely when clear. MEDRED could not get into a forward position. JOE SMOKY had no mishaps, although weakly handled. BLUE PRELUDE quit badly. WAR TARGET could not untrack himself. PYMO suffered some interference when bumped on the first turn, recovered quickly and raced evenly. ALSELEDA, away very slowly, could not get into contention at any time. PEP TALK, favored by the early pace, was rated to the final turn, went up strongly to engage the pacemaker at the stretch turn, then, continuing willingly, came out slowly after taking the lead inside the last eighth. FRANK BROOKE, hurried into the lead, then steadied while stalling off GINOBI, failed to hold on when caught. GINOBI could not keep up with the pacemaker after live-eighths, yet held on well. CONNAMISTA raced well, but could not threaten. CERTAIN PARTY was never dangerous. BIG GAY and CURVES showed little. EGYPTA fell soon after the break.
