Church, owner of the North-way Stud, whose horses are racing here, is due from California in the next week or 10 days, according to trainer E. L. Fitzgerald. i I Roy Slomer is training four horses for George Stempel of San Francisco. They are Invoice, Valley Boy, Sun By and Nico-1 gold. They were brought in from Churchill Downs. i I Jockey Sam Luce checked in from New ,York and reported to trainer James Pow-1 ers. His arrival brings to 63 the number of riders who are available at Lincoln Fields. Walter Burke is to train the horses owned by W. F. Flanigan and J. J. Flanigan. W. F. Flanigan has Minnie Hacha, I Prognostic and She Rolls and his father has Distant Light. i The horses J. J. Greely, Jr., has here for various owners are Happy Pilot, Burgoo Maid, Rover Land, Sweet Helen, Roman Sox and Copper Heels. May 21. " i P. L. Kelley has taken over the training of Right Carla for L. F. King. Bennett Creech trained the horse before he left! for Omaha. I Among other recent arrivals at Lincoln Fields were the horses of Joe Umensetter, J. D. Stevens, Howard Hoffman and Wm. J. Lynch. I Two horses belonging to D. E. OSullivan of Shelbyville, Ky;, arrived here. The horses of Ernest Jones also checked in. George S. Morris arrived from Louisville with four horses belonging to Don Ewing , and W. C. Davis. Jockey Shelby Clark is here to do the , riding of the horses owned by Dan B. j Midkif f . Expected momentarily from Louisville is C. W. Damon, who is reported bringing eight horses. A. Jung registered Wee Scot for E.A Pat-ton. Harry Parsons left here for Thistle Down with the horse, Wawmour. FAIRMOUNT PARK, Collinsville, 111., May 21. Officials on hand for the meeting opening Decoration Day and running through July 4 include: General manager D. C. I Burnett; steward Federic Crafton; racing secretary, Rollie Leigh; placing judge, Cliff Abbo; track superintendent, John Le Blanc; paddock judge, James Nugent; Jack Langer, in charge of concessions; Oscar Schumert, in charge of printing; Abe Seligman, in charge of outdoor advertising. Starter C. H. McMillan will begin schooling of horses this week and will continue Sunday afternoon during the inspection day program, which also will consist of workouts and two test races. - Operators of the Vandalia bus lines, which have a terminal at Broadway and Lucas Streets, St. Louis, announce they will have additional buses operating during peak hours. They will run regularly every five minutes immediately before race time. These buses operate also from Vandalia, HI., and intermediate points direct to the track gate. Every Tuesday and Friday will be Ladies Days, when the fair sex will be admitted to the grounds on payment of the 20-cent state tax. Men in uniform will be admitted during the entire meeting on payment of the tax only. As a facility for patrons who are conserving tires and gasoline, season badges can be obtained at the St. Louis office, Pine and Eighth Streets;. Clocker Teague Pichon announced that 50 horses worked out Wednesday morning, among the most prominent being Franks Boy, Florizan Beau, All Time, Mistletoe, Half Time and others.
