Victory Pleases J. R. Macomber BOSTON, Mass., May 21. The victory of Galafire over a maiden field Tuesday was gratifying to John R. Macomber, master of Baceland and one of the states leading sportsmen. Galafire is a half brother to Red Vulcan, as well as to Val-cunas and the former stakes filly Columbiana. He is by Tintagel out of Fire Top, and Macomber owns a two-year-old filly from the same mare.
