BAR KEEP was sprinted into command at the start, displayed speed while responding to pressure and drew clear in the final sixteenth. RURALES, on the inside throughout and under pressure, faltered in the final sixteenth. DEVILS THUMB was taken under restraint when outrun and came again at the end. BUNDOOK was rushed up fast after the start, then faltered in the stretch. ROSEWELL closed ground steadily. TOSS UP showed a good effort. HARD PONE broke slowly. OUR VICTORY had no mishaps. DERIVATIVE was away slowly. ICELAND dropped back after the break. REX had no mishaps. MELODY was never a factor. DOUBLE S. was outrun. AIKEN quit and was not persevered with. The latter, a prominent factor from the start, responded gamely and held on well. JACK S. L. swerved sharply toward the inside entering the final quarter and came again when straightened out. HICKORY HEAD was under urging and finished well. HOOSIER WOLF was bothered slightly when JACK S. L. came over. CORONA CORONA showed a good effort throughout. QUILLON,, on the outside, faltered nearing the finish. BULLPEN was in close quarters when JACK S. L. swerved. BREEZING HOME, on the inside, could not improve position at the finish. DINI was eased back out of close quarters between the leaders rounding the stretch turn, then came with a rush at the end. LORD VATOUT, on the inside, displayed early speed, then faltered. ALSAB was eased back and rated along on the outside, moved up rounding the stretch turn and was roused sharply entering the stretch, then disposed of BRIGHT WILLIE and drew away at the end. LOCHINVAR was kept under mild restraint to. the stretch turn and, under urging, was sent through on the inside, then finished well to outlast FAIRARIS. The latter in near pursuit of the early pace, made his move when urged, but hung in the final drive. KINGS ABBEY was outrun early, responded in the stretch and finished fast. BRIGHT WILLIE set a fast early pace and faltered in the final eighth. DOGPATCH raced well throughout and had no mishaps. SEAMANLIKE was well up and close to the pace, but faltered when urged.
