LoRoy King. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST 6:41J. OFF AT 6:42 EASTERN WAR TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. PARI-ERNEST outran his field from the start, opened up a clear lead and, rated along under slight restraint,, fought it out stubbornly with HI-KID all through the stretch and outlasted the latter. HI-KID, in closest chase of the winner throughout, made a determined bid in the stretch and, while not quite good enough, held on gamely to the end. SAXONIAN worked his way up gradually in the last half mile and finished gamely. COUNTRY LASS was unable to threaten the leaders. REDROCK CANYON closed some ground. IDA ROGERS, steadied along early, was bearing in through the stretch and failed to enter contention. MILL END, well placed early, quit badly. Scratched 23734 Grandun, 104; 23739JIdle Fancies, 109. Xverweight Ida Rogers, 1 pound. Claimed Ida Rogers by S. Garfield for ,000.
