. : , Shot Put Taking Training Well; Greely Sends Ey-La to Farm CRETE, 111., May 23. J. J. Greely, Sr., trainer of a public stable at Lincoln Fields, said that he has sent Mrs. Marie Evans Ev-La, a three-year-old filly by Roguish Eye Pitch Dark, to a farm near here to be turned out. She may be taken up again later. Greely also stated that Mrs. Evans good distance runner Shot Put is responding well to a slow training program and may return to competition about the middle of the Arlington Park meeting. Shot Put had been turned out all of last winter and was only placed back in training late in the spring.
