CONNIE ANN took command with a rush, was placed under a snug hold after the first quarter and, saving ground, continued well to the final sixteenth, where she tired under vigorous riding. CERTAINTY offered the chief contention from the opening eighth, was restrained for a half mile and rallied only mildly to pressure before beginning to falter. O PLAY, unable to improve her position early, moved up slightly when placed to a drive in the stretch, but finished gamely. TEDDY KERRY closed fast on the inside.
