BAY HAVEN," always within striking distance of the pace, moved up stoutly between the leaders entering the final eighth and, under a-drive, came on to win going away at the end. KEEN GLOAMING took command at the start, set all the pace to midway of the last eighth, then tired slightly when challenged. HAVEN R., always in a contending position, closed strongly after being straightened away in the stretch and Finished gamely. MR. SKID showed a good effort early, then tired. Won driving; second and third the same. MISS FEU, well back for a quarter, moved up steadily while -saving ground rounding the final turn, wore down the pace in the final sixteenths and, under a drive, came on to win narrowly. GOLDEN CYCLE, a bit slow to settle into stride, was. rushed up swiftly on the outside to take the lead entering the final quarter and held on gamely in the final drive, but was no match for the winner. MIKE K. moved up steadily on the inside rounding the stretch turn and closed determinedly, but was not good enough. LADY VALENTINE, having good early speed, took command in the first fifty yards and set the pace to the final eighth, then tired. PAIRAMELIA made a bold bid after going a half mile, then tired. VALDINA MARGE, taken in hand soon after the start, moved up strongly after being steered to theinside entering the final quarter, then got up in the last few strides to ougamc JUNES FIRST. The latter, always in a contending position, forged to the front entering the stretch and Finished strongly, but was unable to hold the winner. TUXEDO EDDY, a forward factor from the start, forced the pace, to the last quarter, then tired. PETER PAIR showed a good effort, but was tiring near the end. OLD ROSE closed much ground in the final quarter. SILENT TICK was rushed into the lead at once and set the pace to the final eighth, then tired. BONSWEEP had no excuses. Won easily; second and third driving. MIA MIA, outrun for a quarter, was rushed up between the leaders entering the final eighth and, under mild urging, came on to win going away. IRISH MAG, forced to take up soon after the break for lack of racing room, was taken to the inside rounding the final turn and, under a drive all through the last eighth, j;ot up to take the place narrowly. ULRI THOTS, well up eaily, took command rounding the stretch turn and set the pace to the last sixteenth, then tired. KING LeROY, iwell back early, closed much ground in the last quarter! ANNA TINO showed good early speed. SHASTA MARBLE showed in front for a quarter, then tired. The latter broke very slowly, trailed the field. for the first quarter, then was steered to the outside, closed with a belated rush in the final eighth, but was not good enough. CANTWELL took command by a short margin in the first few yards, set the pace to the final eighth, then tired when challenged. SKOOKUMCHUCK raced evenly and was never a serious factor. GRAND LADY, never far from the leaders, worked her way up between horses rounding the final turn and closed swiftly in the final drive to get the place in the last few strides. TACITA, saving ground throughout, closed gamely in the final eighth to get the show narrowly. MARGARET NADI, a forward factor early, took command after going the first quarter and held on gamely to the last eighth, then tired. CLANSMAID raced in spots. GATO closed some ground after going the first quarter. WISE FOX tired after showing some early speed. PROLETARIAN showed in front for a quarter, then dropped well back. LADY LADKIN took command by a short margin rounding the first turn, raced RONNIE into defeat going down the back stretch, then, under continued pressure, drew away entering the final quarter and was forced to a drive in the last sixteenth to hold the strongly closing CORONADO. The latter, always in a contending position, closed swiftly r after being straightened away in the stretch and was wearing down the winner at the end. RONNIE, displaying good early speed, forced the pace for the first half mile, then tired, but held on to save the show narrowly. MERRY FREDA raced evenly.
