GUINEA CLUB was weakly handled all the way and raced on his own courage throughout. TASMANIA moved up stoutly after taking the sixth fence and then hung after being bothered, but came again. WINGED HOOFS showed an even effort. GALLEY BOY raced well. The others had no mishaps. A claim of foul was lodged against the winner, which was allowed. EVERGET was a prominent factor from the start and held on well to outlast FIRE STICKY. The latter came to the outside entering the stretch and finished with a rush. MISS BISCUIT was outrun in the early stages, was sent up on the outside and closed fast. PARASUN made a determined bid entering the stretch and then tired. TRAGIC ENDING was taken under restraint in the early running, moved up rounding the stretch turn, but swerved sharply in the stretch while under pressure. TENEBROSE had no excuses.
