STAGE DOOR was slow to begin, improved her position steadily after three-eighths and finished gamely. CASEMER had speed, was vigorously handled after a half and ticed. HURI HOM HARI had speed, was permitted to drift out aproaching the final quarter and could not last. SHARPSHELL was never far back, was shaken up after a half and held on fairly well. The latter was well placed from the beginning, responded to pressure in the drive and was getting to the winner at the end. COMPATRIOT, away fast, saved ground throughout and held on gamely to the end. ROCKWOOD BOY had no mishaps.
