Illinois News and Notes I 1 1 LINCOLN FIELDS at Hawthorne, Stickney, 111., June 16. Jockey M. Pena is coming from Suffolk Downs, to ride for the stable maintained by H. H. Haag. C. A. Roles arrived from New York and supervised the unloading at Washington Park of the horses owned by Louis B. Mayer. Jimmy McGee, trainer of the horses owned by Max Marmorstein and L. W. Ulmer, transferred part of his stable to Washington Park. The remainder will be sent to the south side track this week-end. C. Bruce Head, Lincoln Fields steward, is leaving for his home in Louisville the end of the week. Don Hauer completed his apprenticeship with the conclusion of todays racing and he becomes a full fledged jockey tomorrow. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Emick came here from Kansas City. They were accompanied by Mrs. Leonard Wilson whose husband trains tbe Emick horses. C. W. Tague, former owner and trainer of thoroughbreds, is here from Harlan, Iowa. He is now in the cattle business. After the close of Saturdays program at Hawthorne, steward Sam McMeekin will depart for his home in Louisville. Harry B.
