GRANDSTAR was lucky 1o find room when improving his position and closed with a rush. ZACKIE, a strong factor from the start, wore down ROBERT RLSSELL entering the final sixteenth and failed to last. HILLFTLLY tired. ROBERT RUSSELL bad fine speed, was put lo strong urging when challenged and tired in the la«t stages. SUNBURST showed a good effort. Won driing: second and third the same. EXTEND, well handled and steadied while following in closest pursuit of CONNECTICUT, took command Hearing the final quarter, drifted out in the drive, came fast when straight and held GENERALIS safe. The latter, unprepared at the start, was rushed forward after gaining his best stride, came to the inside tor the drive and tired in the last stages. CONNECTICUT opened up a commanding lead swiftly, held a fine advantaee for nearly three quarters and tired. JACKS PRIDE was unable to keep up. BIG ROVER showed little.
