GOOD COMPANY, well placed and lightly reserved early, held on with good energy during the final drive. FORT VANCOUVER disposed of BALMY SPRING for the lead, made a game bid to go along with the winner when challenged, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. BALMY SPRING quit through the stretch run.
