Field of Eight May Start In Wilmington Handicap DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 27. — Unless there are one or more surprise entries, no more than eight good sprinters are expected to start here on Wednesday in the ,500 Wilmington Handicap, which will feature the opening of the Delaware Steeplechase and Race Associations 30-day meeting from May 29 to July 4. According to a check with Racing Secretary Mathias C. "Ty" Shea, the probable field of the six-furlong special, traditionally opening day feature at the Stanton course, will comprise Brookfield Farms Brookfield, Henry L. Straus New Moon, Pentagon Stables The Doge, Gustave Rings Happy Buckie, Abraham S. Hewitts Rustom Sirdar, Ella K. Brysons Director J. E., Brandywine Stables Pompion and Edgehill Stables Goodrob. One of the most modern race course in the East, Delaware Park will feature the American Teletimer, Thoroughbred Photo Service, Photo Chart camera, and electric starting gate. Post time for the meeting will be 3 p. m., daily, Eastern Standard Daylight time.
