OFF AT 5:34 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won easily; second and third driving. HOT SPARK, never far back and well handled, came out entering the stretch and, responding readily when shaken up, asssumed command and won going away. LIKEABLE raced evenly to the final quarter, responded well when roused, but could not menace the winner. K. DURABLE, forwardly placed from the beginning, bore in badly near the final pole, bumped GOLDEN CROSS, then bothering the latter again, faltered when straightened up. GOLDEN CROSS went to the front at once, made the pace to the stretch, then weakened and, suffering interference from K. DURABLE, was forced to take up sharply and lost all chance. INDIAN TRACE had no excuse. FIGHTING MAC began slowly. MR. DANNY was outrun. INDIAN GIVER quit. ROSY BRAND was far back throughout and pulled up very lame.
