Laurin; bred by Walter P. Chrysler, Jr. WENT TO POST— 5:52. OFF AT 5:53 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. MIANAMI, under a tight hold for six furlongs, began moving up on the turn into the stretch, was forced wide when the leader was bearing out, responded to strong handling to take command and held NOAHVALE safe. The latter, allowed to settle into best stride, began to improve position on the outside after six furlongs, saved ground entering the stretch and closed willingly under intermittent pressure. BELLSBORO, forwardly placed, had no excuse. CEE RAF slipped through on the inside entering the stretch, then hung. TWO DOWN, sent to the front at once, raced wide on the turns, then faltered in the final furlong. CRAB APPLE showed nothing. FUNROW was through after six furlongs. HALCYON BOY retired steadily after a quarter. Scratched— 00271 Listen Tiger, 115; 99630 New Dealer, 104; 90492 Rough Ally, 111. Attendance, 15,904; Total Mutuel Pool, ,168,017.
