Ship Three Hertz Horses From New York to Coast NEWARK, N. J., June 11.— Another trans-continental shipment of thoroughbreds by air began here today at the local airport, when three horses owned by Mrs. John Hertz took off for Hollywood Park in California. The horses were the three -year-old chestnut colts, Hired Man, by Sickle — Dancing Reigh, by Reigh Count, and Rich Mixture, by Blenheim II. — Risque Reigh, by Reigh Count, and the two-year-old chestnut colt, Count I. Q., by Reigh Count — Smart Daughter, by Sir Galla-had II. Hertz stated that hereafter he would transport all his horses by air, and that the horses shipped today will run at Hollywood Park within a week. The trip, in a DC 3, was scheduled to take 16 hours. The horses were vanned from Belmont Park to the local airport, and were attended on the trip by Carl Meyer. About two weeks ago, two juvenile fillies, Chakoora and Uleta, owned by King Brothers, were flown from Bennett Field, Long Island, to Hollywood Park.
