Beaugay Works Impressive Three-Quarters in 1:122/s ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 11. — Beaugay, Maine Chance Farms crack three -year-old daughter of Stimulus and Risk, turned in a very impressive six furlongs trial at Arlington Park this morning. Beaugay, voted the champion two-year-old of 1945 in the Triangle Publications, Inc., poll, stepped the three-quarters in 1:12%, going handily all the way under jockey Douglas Dodson. Beaugays fractions for the speed test were the quarter mile in :22%, the three-eighths in :33%, the half in :45%, and five furlongs in :58%, continuing steadily through the final furlong to complete her sharp move. The Maine Chance miss worked over the main track at the spacious Arlington Park plant. Beaugay, who survived the disastrous fire at the Maine Chance barn in April, appeared to have gone through that ordeal in such manner that she retains all of her speed. Beaugay is staked in many of the three-year-old features which are scheduled for the North Side show place during its 1946 meeting, which gets under way on Monday, June 17.
