WILLIAM CRUMP — Saddled I. H. Rouses Three Dots, who will be shipped here for Arlington-Washington Park meetings, to win yesterdays Flying Heels Handicap at Aqueduct. Whose Whose Popular Popular Hawthorne Hawthorne Repeater; Repeater; Eternal Eternal War# War, Jet Jet Pilot Pilot Go Go inTremont inTremont Maine Chance Colt Unbeaten Juvenile Aqueduct Fixture Has Also Drawn Colonel OF, Useless, Noble Creek and Bastogne AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 11.— The fifty-fourth running of the 0,000 Tre-mont Stakes is the feature offering at Aqueduct tomorrow, and six of the leading juvenile colts in the East will vie at five and a half furlongs. Allen T. Simmons Eternal War, winner of the Youthful and Juvenile Stakes, and Maine Chance Farms unbeaten Jet Pilot, who captured the Pim-lico Nursery and National Stallion, head the small, but select band with 122 pounds each. If only these two went postward this would be an engrossing Tremont, but there are a couple of other candidates who can run more than a little. Of particular interest is the Eastern debut of C. C. Tanners Colonel OF., winner of the Lafayette Stakes at Keeneland in fast time, and who has been working sensationally since coming here. The son of Teddys Comet gets in the Tremont with 118, the same burden that will be carried by Colin MacLeods vastly improved Useless, who won his last start at Belmont Park in style belying his name. The other two Tremont candidates seem somewhat outclassed on what they have showed thus far. These are Cain Hoy Stables Noble Creek and C. V. Whitneys Bastogne, who carry 114 and 110, respectively. Eternal War May Be Slight Favorite Eternal War will probably be slightly favored over Jet Pilot tomorrow, having showed more to New York fans than Mrs. Grahams colt, though the latter was highly impressive in his victory down the Widener course at Belmont and has done everything asked of him with authority. However, Jet Pilot swerved in that race, and Aqueduct is not the easiest course in the world to get around. Though the turns have been banked, horses are still bearing out on the stretch turn. Eddie Arcaro will ride Eternal War, while Eric Guerin is to pilot Jet Pilot. Ted Atkinson has drawn the mount on Colonel OF., while Tommy May will ride Useless and young Paul Miller is to be astride Bastogne. Jockey "no boy" still has the mount on Noble Creek. Mrs. Graham and Whitney have both won earlier runnings of the Tremont. Chi-cuelo made his debut in this stake in the Graham silks in 1940 and set a track record after being all but left at the post, and racing on bucked shins. Whitneys Burg-el-Arab scored impressively in 1944 in what was his last public appearance. Continued on Page Three Eternal War and Jet Pilot Compete in Tremont Stakes Continued from Page One Incidentally, this huge colt is back in training and may be seen at Saratoga. Earlier renewals of the stake, which was inaugurated at Gravesend in 1887, were won by such memorable horses as Man o War, Diavolo and Jack High. Several of tomorrows candidates were on the track for pipe-opentrs this morning. Noble Creek sped a handy half in :4923 over the Belmont training track, while Eternal War went three-eighths in :373/5 on the main tack. Bastogne was sent a half in :50 over the same course. Colonel OFs last trial was on Sunday morning, when he went three furlongs in :354/5, handily, over the Belmont training track. Jet Pilot went five furlongs against a strong pull yesterday morning, stepping the distance in 1:02%. The colt appears ready for a top effort. While Wednesday is usually one of the lightest days of the week in New York from an attendance standpoint, tomorrows Tremont shapes up as a race that should pack the enlarged Aqueduct course.
