McDonough; bred by Houghton P. Metcalf. WENT TO POST— 5:50. OFF AT 5:50 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. ABBOTS MAID, under a tight hold for a half mile, moved into contention when ready, then was steadied behind the leaders until straightened in the stretch, responded to vigorous handling while bearing, in slightly, wrested the lead from BREVROME and drew out at the end. The latter was under snug hold while following close behind UNCLE MOSE to the stretch, then rallied when put to a drive. UNCLE MOSE broke alertly, saved ground while setting the pace and held on gamely to the sixteenth pole, then faltered. SNAZY closed fast under intermittent pressure. BROCADE, a forward factor, had no mishap. ROMAN GOVERNOR was unable to reach the leaders. SIGANAR raced evenly. PEACEMAKER was unable to keep up. GREEN LOG had brief speed.
