Santa Anitas stake program, calling for the distribution of 00,000, was approved at a meeting of the California Horse Racing Board held here yesterday. The program for the 50-day meeting opening December 28, submitted by Carleton Burke, calls for two 00,000 races and 10 0,000 offerings. The Santa Anita Handicap and the Santa Anita Derby again will be worth 00,000 added. A new clause in the conditions of the Santa Anita Handicap guarantees the owner of the winning horse a minimum purse of 00,000. Overnight purses up to a maximum of 0,000 were also approved conditioned on an increase in overnight purses all along the line, starting with the least valuable. The program of Santa Anita stakes is as follows: December 28 California Breeders Champion Stakes for California breds, 0,000, two-year-olds, one mile. January 1 San Carlos Handicap, 0,-000, three-year-olds and upward, seven furlongs. January 4 Santa Susanna Stakes, 0,-000, fillies and mares, three-year-olds and upward, seven furlongs. January 11 San Pasqual Handicap, 0,000, three-year-olds and upward, mile and sixteenth.
