BIG CASINO, a sharp factor from the beginning, went to the front entering the stretch and drew clear without need of urging. SLAMARANTH assumed command early and made the pace to the stretch, but could not withstand the winner. STAMMY raced evenly in a good performance and had no mishap. JOES SUN began fast, dropped back after the beginning and went evenly thereafter. GRAND FELLOW could not better his position under good handling. SHADOW SHOT was outrun. BULLHEAD began sluggishly. ANDYS SIS could not keep up. FAST PULSE raced wide. DEMURE, fractious at the post, began well, but was done after three furlongs. SEA LOG, smartly handled, saved ground while racing within striking distance of SGT. RICE to the stretch, responded readily when roused for the drive and, after disposing of the latter, won going away. SGT. RICE assumed command early, made the pace under pressure from the eventual winner and held on well through the stretch, but was not good enough. SIXTYS THIRD improved his position steadily and closed willingly under urging. " BELETINO raced evenly without mishap. ROSADEL tired. WOODMERE was outrun. ROYAL EMPRESS was never dangerous. ONE BLUE went to the front at once, shook off CONFIRMATION during the stretch run, then lasted to withstand SYLVIA DEAR. The latter, never far back but in close quarters early, came fast when clear during the drive and was getting to the winner at the end. CONFIRMATION forced the pace to the final furlong, then faltered. CAPTAIN ABBOT raced evenly and had no excuse. COHAT, away slowly, moved up stoutly after the opening quarter, but had nothing left when roused for the drive. HAIR STYLIST, off in a tangle, failed to recover. HAPPY HASTE on the outside throughout, could not threaten. DE BRAND had a rough trip. SIDDONS was going well on the upper turn when crowded to the rail and, taken up sharply, could not enter serious contention thereafter. KUbt btu, aiertiy nanaied, went to the front at once, held a clear lead when settled in the stretch, but was vigorously ridden thereafter to retain her advantage. CEE STYLE, on the Inside and in very close quarters during the stretch run, finished gamely and he might have been a keener factor with better racing luck. GRADO PRIMERO, on the outside but forwardly placed from the beginning, finished resolutely under punishment, giving a sharp effort. INDIAN RULER could not better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. FAIR DREAMER held on well to the stretch, then weakened. GALLOPING SUN was done after racing prominently to the final quarter. BROWN TIE began slowly. HASTEN JASON, on the outside from the outset, never was a serious factor. WESTFIELD began fast, but failed to stay. TRIUMPHAL broke down before going a quarter. CHAPEL BELLS, never far back but bearing in badly, could not better her position when hard ridden during the stretch run. POMPS GAL, forced to take up sharply on the upper turn when blocked, came again when clear, but could not get to the leaders. KNIGHTS GIFT began fast, but could not keep up. GOOD BLOOD, superbly ridden, worked her way forward on the inside, responded to strong handling during the stretch run and disposed of TROJAN FLEET in the last sixteenth. The latter went to the front after three furlongs, held a short lead when settled for the drive and continued gamely, but was unable to withstand the winner while easily besting the others. FIGHTING DON, on the outside from the beginning, lost ground on the stretch turn, then closed willingly when straightened. HYDRANT, away fast, failed to rally when roused for the drive. INDIAN TRACE moved up boldly approaching the stretch, but could not better his position when hard ridden thereafter. FIVE A. M., much used racing JUNE T. into defeat, had nothing left for the drive. COLEY BAY raced well and had no mishap. BELMIKE was on the outside throughout. JUNE T. raced prominently to the stretch, then gave way. VITAMIN DEE was done after three-quarters.
