Hollywood Riders Stage Show At Sawtelle Veterans Hospital HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 25. Hollywood jockeys staged their "Blackout" show before 300 wheel-chair patients at the Sawtelle Veterans Hospital with Arthur Lake, the "Dagwood" of the movies, and Charles Perry, a magician, adding their talents to the occasion. Jockeys appearing in the show were Willie Swigart, Bobby Ranum, Doug Wilson, C. L. Martin and A. L. Pierce. George Murphy, placing judge at Hollywood Park, also was presented in a series of songs. The tracks motion picture, "A Day at the Races," was shown and the Louis-Schmelling fight pictures were also presented. Jack Smith, of Hollywoods official family, aided in putting on the show.
