Horses Can Remain in Mexico 1 0 Days Without Dourine Test TIJUANA, Mexico, June 26. The management of Hipodromo de Tijuana, where racing is conducted every Sunday, has been notified by the Bureau of Animal Industry that the Washington office of that bureau has addressed a communication to the California Breeders Association, as well as the Horse Trainers Union, stating that thoroughbreds entering Mexico from the United States will be permitted to remain in Mexico for 10 days without having to undergo the dourine test. For the past several seasons all fillies, mares, colts and horses quartered at Hipodromo de Tijuana for more than three days have been forced to take the test. The new rule will enable a thoroughbred to be shipped in for two Sundays of racing and be returned to the United States without being inconvenienced through being placed in the test barn. It is expected that the horse colony at the border track will be considerably strengthened as a result of the new rule.
