MY MARGIE, well handled, was steadied close to the early leaders, secured room on the inside entering the stretch, wore down JOY FOREVER gradually and was up in the final strides. JOY FOREVER had good speed while racing on the outside of WING ING AWAY, lost some ground on the turn, took command in the stretch and fought it out stubbornly KEEN OLO raced evenly and forwardly, but could not threaten the first two. PEG was unable to improve her position in a good effort. HOLIDAY HUMOR was unable to improve her position under hard urging. WINGING AWAY had good early speed to set the pace, but quit. The latter, slow to settle in best stride, improved his position on the outside on the turn, challenged boldly on the outside through the stretch and was wearing down the winner. SEE D. had good speed from the beginning while on the outside and hung on weli. LEES SUMMIT moved into closer contention on the turn, then weakened. MENOTNOW was never dangerous. VICTIM quit early.
