Horses to Watch Horses who impressed Daily Racing Form representatives as being ready to win: LINCOLN FIELDS FRISK — Is at peak condition but apparently did not favor the going in latest effort. NICTOR — Raced very impressively in debut at this track. Should score soon with the same caliber he competed with in last. MAIJO — Is a fair sort but has been plagued with poor racing luck. Tallied easily here and could repeat. FOXEY ROSE— Was a disappointing choice in recent try. She was impeded early and could redeem herself with clear saving. WELL WISHER— A cheap router, who had little chance in latest effort because of being carried wide. MIDCHANNEL— Won with ease over a sloppy track here and at present condition appears capable of repeating over the same kind on a fast or wet strip. SOHELPME— Faltered after menacing in the stretch in lone try here. Appeared a trifle short of peak condition and should improve. MAGIC TOUCH— Turned in a much improved race in latest and might register a surprise tally when sent a distance of ground. RIPPLING SAND— This lower bracket claiming sprinter began slowly and lost considerable ground and yet finished a close second. Better racing luck should provide a victory. BUTTONSHOES — A two-year-old who should not be long in graduating from the maiden ranks. May have needed first outing here." POPPA GEORGE — Can do better than latest attempt indicates. Was seriously bothered on two occasions in the race. JACKS REQUEST — Still a maiden but has raced very little. Showed speed in recent try here. DETROIT PAPA REDBIRD — Right back for another stakes victory. The Goodwin colt worked a half mile over sloppy track and around * "dogs" in :47%, handily. ACME— Headley homebred colt gave splendid effort in initial local start and ready to beat a field of high-class platers. SWEET REWARD— Cheap but hard-hitting mare lacked early speed in last outing, but finished fast to give sharp effort. HIMMELEE — Belongs with ,000 routers and prefers mile and one-sixteenth or longer distance on fast track. ORISKANY— Ran second to My Empire after beginning very slowly in mile and seventy yards race and ready to beat same type field. COTTON JOE — Careless handling cost the Forrest sprinter victory in the Noquette Purse, but he will soon make amends for the reverse. MISS MCMMY — Race behind Shy Guy in -the Border City was excellent and she will be keen factor, in filly-and-mare stakes. IS THERE— Better-than-average juvenile had bad racing luck when beaten by Con-vair and capable of better performance. LOVELY NYMPH— Scholtz filly gave top account of herself in recent sprint race and she can handle longer distances. PELLICLE — Headley stakes performer is hard-hitting sort on flat or turf course and comes from unusally well-conditioned barn. CANARY BIRD — Maiden three-year-old ran good race behind Nitromond and due for early Visit to winners circle. HIKE — Cheap but honest old plater can handle any type, footing arid prefers longer distances for top effort. BULLY BOY— One of the best two-year-old colts on the grounds and was beaten narrow margin in recently decided Lansing Stakes. JOSHUA— Trifle short in first local six-furlong engagement. Is ready to trim same class of rivals. POLKA— Quick two-year-old filly did not like "off" track in recent outing and will do better on firmer footing. SCENE — Well-bred three-year-old maiden has been knocking at the victory door and due for early graduation . OMAHA AMATEUR BOY — Has shown decided fondness for local strip and should score at first asking. ROAMING OSCAR — Promising juvenile raced creditably during the Oaklawn Park season and appears ready for winning effort. ELECTION BOY — Hard-hivting plater should find field he is capable of handling early in meeting. BEST BUTTONS — Local dockers fancy the future capabilities of this youngster. ROLLAWAY — Close up in recent starts at Beulah Park and appears toy have returned to top form. ANAESTHESIA— Dangerous when matched against intermediate performers either at sprint or middle distances. NAMUR — Comes from well-conditioned stable and should account for his share of purses. LENFANT— Is at best over sloppy oval and return to Oaklawn Park form is all that is needed to assure victory for this veteran charge.* ROSETIP — Two-year-old filly possesses world of speed and should not be long in gracing the winners circle! CAPT. PATTT — Veteran sprinter always comes forth with best efforts and appears capable of turning back the better allowance campaigners on the grounds. TURN BACK— Is at best over a distance of ground. Tab for future score. BEST BUTTONS— -This youngster was unable to register a victory during Oaklawn Park season but should sot be much longer in graduating from the maiden ranks. LITTLE SERF— A drop in classification is all that is needed to assure victory for this plater. PHAR ELAINE— Consistent sort has been working to advantage and should not be long in greeting the judges. BORDER VINTAGE— Connections should find a suitable spot for this one during first week of meeting. BELMONT PARK PEACE AND FOOD— This colt won his first start in, a very convincing fashion and from all indications he can take the measure of better. Tab when he tries five furlongs. CEARA — A maiden two-year-old who closed a big gap in a four and one-half furlongs test the other day. BLUE ROW— Race last week indicates this filly to be real sharp now. She just failed to last with good ones and should improve-off the effort. POINT BLEU— This French importation is going very convincingly now and narrowly missed in stake the other day. Tab him next time out over the steeplechase course. RARE PERFUME— This filly needs a good strong rider to repeat her winning performance. Last try was not true effort. BRAGGADOCIO — Found his -winning stride with Glisson last week and no reason that he cant make it two in a row with the same ,000 company. Likes any kind of a track. JHANSI— This ,000 sprinter was off to a slow start in last try and closed tremendous gap. Give another chance and he should win brackets. BLACK FOX II. — An Argentine who just recently found his winning stride when he earned first money in a field of fancy maidens. He is possibly much better than indicated. BEAU MAX — This one and his stablemate ran the best time recorded this year on the Widener Course and they were both going easily. May be one of toe best two-year-olds df the year. RARE JEWEL — Here is a top line sprinter that should connect when he gets out of the handicap ranks. Watch for spot m an allowance affair. GOLDEN LIGHT— This patched up son of Gallant Fox won very nicely at seven furlongs last time out and should have one more winning race left. BROKEN ARCHES — This youngster came from far back in his first try at the Widener Course to finish a fast-closing second. No reason he shouldnt earn brackets in next attempt. GARDEN "STATE PARK WARSHIP — Works indicate this Brook -meade standard bearer will show to good advantage in the near future. SOSPIRO— Should win another purse when matched against ,000 sprinters. HOWS SCOTCH— Has some good morning trials to his credit. JAZZ BABY— A good Whitney filly that should not be long in earning a purse. DJINN — A maiden who, from last outing, should earn brackets soon. fe TIDE RIPS— Is dead fit and if an overnight races comes up that fits him. He should take down the honors. GREEK WARRIOR— A bit short last out. That race should have been just what was needed. ATTENTION MARK— Should encounter little difficulty in winning a maiden race for Jersey-bred juveniles. APPEASE NOT— Appeared a certain winner when he attempted to bolt in stretch last out. BINKY B. — Should win a race at the meet-ingif dropped a notch. MIRTHMAKER — Has trained to perfection. FRIAR MARK— A cheap one but is ready for his best effort. BALANCED — Was never better and should repeat. IRON PIGEON— Needs a little more distance. Has trained well enough to take a purse when raced a distance. THISTLE DOWN PARK BLACK PRINCE — Good looking three-year-old son of Balladier won his first start of the year in convincing fashion. Should improve off of the effort and challenge better company with equally successful results. LICENSE— Been consistently close during this meeting, and in one race finished a close-up third behind the local outstanding performers, Tubby B. and Lawless Miss. Should find a field he can lead to I the wire soon. 1 PRETTY SUN — Appears to be the best two-year-old on the grounds. Must expect a continuation of his winning ways. KLAMATH — Has not lost any of the speed which made him one of the better high-priced claiming sprinters last winter in Florida. Ready to meet the best here. ALABAMA BOY — A seasonally honest performer on the Ohio circuit. His first race of the season in which he was a stoutly charging third indicates readiness for a triumph next time out. BASKET DINNER — Turned in a sharp effort at six furlongs for her local debut. A little added distance her next outing should bring results. SUN CLOCK— Disappointed twice in her role as a short-priced favorite but must be given another chance. I 1 CAFRE — Had no opportunity to display his usual good speed when away from the gate poorly last time. A better break at the start will see him in front. SAUCY LEE— Filly needed her last race in which she loomed a threat midway the stretch, only to prove short for the effort. Improvement may be expected her next outing. REMEMBERING— Aging gray gelding was probably best when a fast closing third at five and one-half furlongs. A little more distance should prove helpful. HIGH SPIRITS — Won his last race in exceptionally easy fashion. Appears to be returning to his bestfcform which would enable him to defeat better company. SUFFOLkTdOWNS BEARING CLEAR — This greatly improved three-year-old could easily succeed as the top sophomore of the New England season. VARODI— A mediocre plater who is better than recent efforts would suggest. May need stronger rider for a winning race. NIGHT CRAWLER— May have been best in last start, when he suffered interference while making a move at a crucial stage of the race. COUNT STEEL— A non-winning juvenile who competes with cheaper caliber youngsters that should not tarry in the maiden ranks. MARCH CHECK— Last two should have this fellow ready for a set of brackets. Is capable of handling better than he has been competing against. MISLEADER— Former Wheatley cast-off has been sharpened in a recent sprint. Is better suited at middle distance races. WARRIOR PRINCE — Continues to train smartly at long distances. Will be hard to handle at nine furlongs. HETiTOPTTC — A fair sort of distance performer that is rounding to form. May score at first asking. HOMESPUN — Overcame early interference to turn in a creditable effort in last. Could atone for that defeat in next outing. ST. GLORY — A cheap maiden that has been showing improvement to suggest an early graduation. KETWELL — Greatly improved plater that should continue winning ways. Is a solid hazard while competing against ,000 claimers.
