Shaffer, Whitely Racers Going to River Downs RANDALL PARK, North Randall, Ohio, May 21. — Trainer Frank Whiteley, Jr., has made arrangements to ship 12 horses from this point to River Downs to race at the Cincinnati meeting which opens on Wednesday, June 1 for a session of 43 racing days. The draft includes one belonging to Whiteley, and 11, the property of Harold Shaffer. The Virginia sportsmans string is headed by the three-year-old handicap star, Oom Paul, winner of his last four starts; Flying Raid and Pilogy. The shipment will be accompanied by jockey Jimmy Baird, leading rider at the-current Thistle Down meeting.
