Bishop Purchases Pad Lock WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., June 8. — Pad Lock, who holds the-track record of 1:04 for five and a half furlongs at this track, established in 1946 when he was a two-year-old and raced for Calumet Farm, was sold this morning to William H. Bishop in a private transaction. Bishop acquired the five-year-old gelded son of Blenheim n. from E. C. Roth, who races under the name of Eldorado Farm. Roth purchased Pad Lock last year from Calumet Farm. Pad Lock was the only horse Roth owned at the time of the sale and the Chicagoan has announced a temporary retirement from racing.
