MAJOR HUGH saved ground while disposing of FLEET ARGO and was kept to pressure to hold UNCLE DON safe. The latter, slow to respond while forwardly placed, made up ground in the late stages. FLEET ARGO vied for the lead and faltered in the final furlong. BASHFUL SUN threatened in the early stretch and hung. FLORAL closed with good courage. HICKORY raced well from a sluggish start. COURTNEY faltered steadily. LORD BALTIMORE was through early. DEALER was always outrun. EXTRA EARLY was not roused. FALSELY was not rushed" while in striking distance early, improved her position between horses and wore down ACONDALE. The latter raced BALLINAKILL into defeat to take a clear advantage at the furlong pole, then just failed to last. BALLINAKILL, hard pressed while setting the pace, held on better than usual. PHARA SURPRISE closed willingly after being slow to respond. UNDERCUT closed ground. SWING TUNE tired. REGALER raced well in the late stages. CYPER was prominent early but faltered. BRICK, under steadying restraint while not too far from the pacemaker, responded to energetic handling to gain command and was kept to pressure while outfinishing LOW AND HIGH. The latter, rated off the pace of GAMBLER, assumed command nearing the stretch and held on tenaciously. VAMANOS responded when roused on the final turn, but lacked a closing rally. GAMBLER established the pace, tired entering the stretch and was bothered slightly in the vicinity of the furlong pole. RAZZMATAZZ flattened out when placed to pressure. LITTLE HARP raced with the pace along the backstretch, was eased from between horses and taken to the outside, then responded to good urging to outfinish the opposition. BULLOW raced between horses from the start and closed fastest of all. DARBY D AMOUR vied for the lead from the outset and held on doggedly. FIGHTING MAD was with the leaders to midstretch and tired only slightly. TASK caught horses in the late stages. MODEL KING was kept in a bit close along the inside. TED M. assumed command several Jumps out of the gate, held a commanding advantage to the stretch, was steadied while endeavoring to drift out, then drifted to the inside while responding to pressure through the final furlong. CER VANTES was much closer to the pace than in his last race, moved well when placed to pressure and was in a bit close during the final drive. Stranges claim of foul against the winner was not allowed. DESERT RULER, a bit sore going to the post, made up ground in a good effort. RED POMPON came from far back, but was beaten off. BURTS REWARD turned in an effort similar to that of RED POMPON. MANCHAC moved well to the stretch, then flattened out badly. PUNCHESTOWN was through early, as was BLACK LEAD. PILASTER was allowed to race on his own courage while within easy striking distance of the leaders, moved willingly from the outside and was mildly urged to outfinish his opposition. HALCONERO pressed the pace while under strong restraint, continued on gamely and managed to outgame DOBODURA. The latter was rated in front and saved ground, but was not good enough, CAT BRIDGE moved menacingly nearing the stretch, then flattened out badly GAI PROPOS was outrun. SEVENTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES.
