CAJAC went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then responded to punishment and held a clear advantage to the finish. BARRE FLINT, forced wide at the stretch turn by NET REWARD, closed well when clear but could not reach the winner. NET REWARD, a sharp factor from the start, bore out at the stretch turn forcing BARRE FLINT and FREE LUNCH with her, then came again when straightened for the drive. LITTLE BOOKIE began fast but dropped back after the .start, made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then weakened. FREE LUNCH raced well to the stretch, then lost all chance when carried out by NET REWARD. SENECAS FLASH showed nothing. Scratched— 280984 Mad Again, 110. NINTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. BOLD KING, well placed from the start, assumed command after going a hajf mile, entered the stretch with a clear lead but was hard ridden during the drive to withstand FAST BREAK. The latter moved up fast approaching the stretch, finished well under punishment but could not overtake the top one. FRENCH NAVY, in hand to the upper turn, could not better his position when set down through the stretch. SMART EDDIE began sluggishly but finished fast. HIGH COTTON, forced wide at the first turn/drifted out thereafter and was never dangerous. LECARTO tired after showing early speed. SILVER SPY quit.
