EMORY A., slow to reach his best stride, came out for the drive and, after disposing of the runner-up, won drawing away. GOOD HOSTESS raced the early competition into defeat to assume a clear lead nearing the furlong marker, but faltered when called upon for her best effort, though easily best of the others. VINITA TONEY rallied too late to seriously endanger the leaders. JESS D. tired. FLAGLER began sluggishly. ATOMIC ENERGY quit. MAIL FROM HOME and GREY SCOUT were much used early and had nothing left GABBY LONG stopped to a walk. ETERNAL FLIRT took command immediately after the start, drifted out while tiring during the late stages, but had enough left to prevail over HENNY PENNY. The latter raced in nearest pursuit of the leader from the beginning, ducked to the inside when the winner bore out inside the stretch, but was not good enough. KANDYCAL, in close quarters on the far turn, closed determinedly when clear. LASS QUEST lacked a rally. KAPINISCA saved ground to no avail. LERNERS GIRL failed to attain the lead and tired. MARIE EILEEN was hustled into contention on the outside soon after the start, reached the lead entering the stretch and steadily drew clear under a mild hand ride. GOLIAD held sway for three furlongs, gave way to the winner nearing the furlong marker, then held on determinedly to outgame POCKET ALL. The latter failed to make up appreciable ground when hard ridden through the stretch. MERRY THOUGHT raced wide throughout. SUNSHINE ROSE was unable to keep up. OUR FOLLY was outrun. The latter, forwardly placed from the"beginhing while between horses, closed resolutely in a sharp effort LITTLE MILLY failed to respond when called upon for the stretch run. HUSH MONEY was compelled to take the complete overland route when making her stretch bid. GESSY B. had no mishap. PEACEFUL GENIE was outrun. QUEEN KARLING never was-dangerous.
