m Ak-Sar-Ben Notes AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 21. Leo C. Daley, general manager of the Great Falls and Billings, Montana, race meeting, is here for the opening of the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting. Daley mixed business with pleasure as he also vconf erred with Charley Mullaney, who will act as racing secretary at the Montana meeting this summer. Mullaney acts as paddock and placing judge here at this meeting. Trainer Clyde J. Carter arrived from Hot Springs, Ark., with the horses Squirt, Uncle Ted, Annleigh and Slievemish. Carter expects several others via van within the next few days. Glenn Crowell checked in from Sonora, Texas, with the horses, Silk Ann and Snuffy Ann for Pat Finley, and Dociotic and Pair of Roses for W. L. Miers. Wilbur Brown, of Auburn, Nebr., registered the horses, Fido, Buster Bill, Sandy Red, So True and Babybel for Dr. R. J. Mosher, and Schley John for himself. Mrs. V. A. Leopold, of Denver, Colo., sent in the horse, Red Flame, which will be trained by D. J. Burney. • Frank Carra joined the official family. Carra will act as patrol judge during the meeting. H. M. Shemek arrived from Columbus, Nebr., with the two horses, Smokey Bill and Morat. Shemek trains his own stable. Trainer Dave Schreifer checked in with six head. Pamway, Sooner Pat and Copper Chief will race under the silks of Frank Northway, and Princess E., Deacon S. and a two-year-old colt will race for Schreifer. Charlie E. Brown checked in from San Mateo, Calif., with two van loads of horses. The horses all shipped well and will be seen in competition very shortly. In the shipment were Put and Call and Block to Block. Both horses are recent winners.
