Handicap Performer Manyunk Dies at Hollywood Park HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 21.— The Henry W. Collins stable had the misfortune over the week-end to lose the good handicap horse, Manyunk. After his race here last Saturday, when he ran second to Round Stitch in an overnight sprint of six furlongs, Manyunk suffered a hemorrhage and died Sunday morning. Manyunk was a six-year-old gelding by Unbreakable and Golden Manda and was purchased several seasons ago from Fox-catcher Farm. Manyunk was second to Special Touch in the Hollywood Premiere on opening day and this spring at Bay Meadows he won the St. Patricks Handicap. He also was second to Moonrush in the San Pasqual at Santa Anita last winter and in 1949 won the San Carlos Handicap at the same track. The horse is being interred here at Hollywood Park.
